Learn how the Waterford Graded School District
can be the right match for your child.

WGSD is a top performing school district located just 35 minutes from four major business centers.

The Waterford Graded School District is ranked in the top 5% of Wisconsin’s 425 public school districts. It is the primary feeder school for the Waterford Union High School, also a top 5% school district. Waterford Graded offers students a dynamic yet practical curriculum in a technology rich environment. Every student, grades 3rd through 8th, participates in a one-to-one computer program.

The Waterford Graded School District school board firmly believes that we must provide a range of educational experiences that emphasize active learning, where each student is actively engaged in the learning process. We want each student to view him/herself as a life long learner. Having implemented a district wide four-year-old kindergarten program for the 2015-16 school year, Waterford Graded is set to make continued improvements in student achievement.

In order to continually improve the effectiveness of staff, the Waterford Graded School District has created a professional development program that engages teachers in learning and enhances their skills by improving their teaching methods and knowledge.

Say Hello to Our New District Administrator

Mr. Ed Brzinski comes to our district with 25 years of experience in education at the elementary and middle school levels.

Mr. Brzinski has spent 20 years as a classroom teacher and 5 years as a principal and district administrator at Woods Elementary (Geneva Joint #4). Under Mr. Brzinski’s leadership Woods Elementary was the 11th highest scoring district on Wisconsin’s DPI district report card out of over 425 school districts. Mr. Brzinski’s strengths as an educator and leader were directly in line with the characteristics and attributes our community and staff desired in the next district administrator.
With Mr. Brzinski’s leadership, the school board is eager to build upon the outstanding success our district has already achieved. Waterford Graded’s past success is due in no small part to the dedicated work of our talented teachers, staff, and administration, along with the amazing support our schools receive from parents and community members.

The Waterford Graded School District is located just 35 minutes from the business centers of Milwaukee, Waukesha, Racine and Kenosha. This modest commute further benefits from uncongested travel on highways 36, 20 and 142.
